Dr. Maranda Trahan, PhD, BCBA-D co-coordinates aging-related services at Abilities Behavior Services, a division of Trinity Services in Southern Illinois. She manages care plans for seniors with and without dementia. Dr. Trahan was born on the bayous of Louisiana and attended LSU as an undergraduate student. She received her master’s degree in Behavior Analysis and Therapy and a doctorate in Rehabilitation from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale. Dr. Trahan completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD in Geriatric Medicine and Gerontology. She started the first ABA clinical practice for seniors with dementia in Florida in 2014. In addition to clinical practice, Dr. Trahan develops training materials for clinicians around the country looking to manage the behavior and psychological symptoms of dementia. She enjoys being outside, spending time with family, and expanding her spiritual practices.
